COVID-19 ProtocolS

Our first concern is for the safety of our guests and our employees, and we are committed to carefully following the guidelines set by the NYS DOH, OSHA, and the CDC. The following safety protocols are currently in place at Mark’s Off Madison: 


  • No entry without a properly-worn face mask.
  • Masks must be worn at all times except when seated at the table. We encourage guests to wear masks at times when there is extended interaction with their waiter.
  • Indoor dining at 50% capacity and outdoor dining on our patio
  • Indoor diners each must receive a temperature check (must be less than 100.4°) and one member of your party must fill out a contact tracing sheet
  • Maintain 6’ distance from other guests and employees, including observing distance markers in heavily used areas, such as outside bathrooms.
  • We ask that wherever possible guests keep the volume of conversation low to help lower overall restaurant volume and minimize airborne conversational spray-drift.


  • NanoSeptic self-cleaning surfaces applied to high traffic public areas, such as door handles.
  • Hand sanitizer stations available throughout the restaurant
  • Dining tables will be disinfected between each party
  • Tables at least 6’ apart.
  • Outdoor heaters for the comfort of our guests.
  • Foil blankets (like marathon runners use) available for a small charge.

Employee Protocols

  • Daily health screening by management, including temperature check, in strict compliance with NYC DOH guidelines.
  • Employees must wear a mask at all times.
  • Wherever possible, employees must maintain social distancing with guests and fellow employees.
  • Employees must maintain good hygiene, particularly regular hand washing.
